Picture 3: Waterwheel in Hama, Syria at night
We have had some internet difficulties in the past 36 hours, but all is well...We have visited the most amazing Crusader Castle and thoroughly enjoyed Syria. It truly is an amazing and wonderful place where today means this decade, and recent means this century, and ALL history is relevant. We went to Maalola where they still speak Aramaic (the language Jesus spoke) and we heard the Lord's Prayer in Aramaic. We also went to a Monastery and the shrine of St. Thecla where went through a mountian path that led to a beautiful Church.

What an awesome experience for you and the rest of the group! I'm enjoying your blogs. I'm also praying for you and for a safe return home. Take care. Frances & Floyd
Cayce-
I hope things are going well with you, and I am certain you are enjoying yourself. I just wanted to give you a quick update of our 6-5 victory tonight on the softball field. Emma Kate had a great night. She was 3 for 3 and had several nice fielding plays. We miss you on the field and pray for your safe journey and your return home.

Whew - I am impressed with myself for getting those pictures on there, but they were worth it.
We all enjoyed talking to you via Skype today. Thanks! Cullom had a great birthday and the boys loved "Prince Caspian" - it was truly great!
Thanks, Jay for the softball update, that was so nice of you.
How inspiring it must have been to hear the Lord's prayer in Aramaic. That should be a memory for a lifetime. Hope Sue's stomach is better. Keep sending those pictures! Thoughts and prayers are with you and the group.
